Seeing as the Zone BBs does not support HTML code within board posts, why not implement Bulletin Board Code (BBC)? It's a formatting standard with syntaxes similar to, but not exactly to, HTML. BBC was designed to take the risk out of pure HTML, and yet still allow users to format their text as they wish. You can do almost anything you need to do, including adding links, images, font changes, etc. For more information, go to www.footslog.com/board/ubbcode.html
the site you recomended to go was good. are we allowed to put html on the zone in the near future?just wondering?
hmm, i think it is the oposite, I heard they took it down for security reasons
BBC code is easy to master. And yes much more secure then HTML.
All I want is to be able to separate my writing with line breaks. I want the PHP to recognize when there is a line break and automatically insert it for me. --Allie
I like the idea of BBC. Had i known it existed...Ah well, that's that though. Good one again, Wraith.
hmmm To be honest, I could care less about changing what we've got. But then, I don't like to post my poems on here so don't find it useful for me. lol
*sexy*
It would be good indeed if we were to be enabled to format our texts..especially for those of us who enjoy creative writing and the styles that go with it that many times gives greater meaning to what is written. Connie
Agreed; it would be good to be able to format our board messages somehow... I think this is not only useful for poetry, but generally, when writing longer posts, organizing them is a courtesy to the reader! I wonder why there isn't a response from the staff as to if or if not they might implement something in future...
Or putting links in QN's.
